Mobile Heartbeat®, a leading provider of cloud-native clinical communication and collaboration (CC&C) solutions, continues to make significant strides towards increased security and reliability as they announce SOC 2 Type II compliance and Business Continuity Services (BCS).

Furthering its commitment to ensuring sensitive patient data is protected from increasing cyber threats, Mobile Heartbeat proudly achieved SOC 2 Type II compliance along with HIPAA compliance as further evidence to rigorous security controls expected from today’s IT leaders.

“Health systems are no stranger to cyber-attacks, even the smallest data breach can have a devastating impact on the trust our customers have in their organization’s ability to deliver safe, quality patient care,” said Saji Aravind, Chief Technology Officer, Mobile Heartbeat. “We built our cloud-native platform, Banyan, to protect our customers' information, and provide the most secure communications platform for care teams.”

Banyan's latest innovative services support multi-region backup and a cloud-native design enabling more resilient operations during service disruptions. The benefit to IT leaders is maintaining business continuity and protecting sensitive data even in the face of unexpected outages.

“90% of hospital staff are constantly on the go and rely on mobile devices as their ‘office’”, said Bill Reid, Vice President of Product at Mobile Heartbeat. “Care teams need fast, targeted responses – while accommodating the complexity of dynamically changing roles - to ensure continuity of care. This high-availability nature of communications is critical and must remain uninterrupted regardless of outages via the internet or even the EHR.”

Mobile Heartbeat is proud to offer hands-on demonstrations of the Banyan CC&C platform as well as discuss risk-free pilot engagements at the HIMSS25 event in Las Vegas. Additionally, Mobile Heartbeat will be presenting key innovations, further reinforcing its position as a Leader in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Clinical Communications and Collaboration.
